I thought I would fill everyone in on Holden's happenings. He is growing so fast, it seemed like over-night he had a growth spurt last week. He has all his teeth in, except for the 2 year molars he will get once he turns two. Some of his teeth are still filling out, but they have all broke through and his million dollar smile is now a billion dollar smile with all those teeth! He lets us brush them every night and will smile very big when you ask him to show you his teeth...it's so cute! He still has tons of hair and it's so blonde, almost white! We get lots of comments on his cute hair and the color. He likes to wear hats and this week let me know he has a preference for shoes. I bought him a new pair the other day and he cried when he couldn't wear his old ones! He is putting words together all the time and talks so much. Yancey and I get tickled when he repeats us using inflection in his voice like ours. He knows his shapes and can sort colors. We are working on naming colors...right now everything is orange! He knows almost every animal and the sound it makes...also loves big trucks and tractors. He likes to look for school buses when we are driving and makes sure we know when he spots one. Holden is a boy to the core, loves all things boy. Playing ball is another favorite and reading books he could do all day. He loves to play with his cousins and enjoys being outside. He's a picky eater, but loves junk food. He talks a lot about the potty, but we aren’t going to push potty training anytime soon. He was really into Barney the last few months, but now he loves Thomas the Train. He has a great personality and loves to laugh. He is fairly even tempered, but we definitely have our temper tantrums when things don't go his way. I think hanging out with daddy is one of his favorite things to do, he cries when Yancey leaves for work. Well, that's just a small bit of the beautiful world of Holden. He is such a special boy, we are so blessed God chose us to be his parents. The pictures above are from Valentine's Day...Holden opening gifts from his grandparents in Fl. and looking at valentine cards from his MDO classmates. Holden and I made the chocolate suckers for our family, friends and teachers for Valentine's Day...they were yummy and he enjoyed handing them out!
