Holden going to School

Holden loves going to school...it's actually Mother's Day Out, but we call it school. He is in a wonderful program at our church and he loves all the teachers and his friends that attend. He moved to a new class for the fall session and has two wonderful teachers who love him. He really likes them too! Holden has a new backpack/lunchbox and is very proud of them, he wants to carry them himself when we go to school...what a big boy!! Last weekend Holden, his daddy, cousins and uncle JJ went fishing and had a campfire cookout...plus 4-wheeler riding and lots of playing in the dirt...he was a mess when he came home, so I know they had lots of fun!!

Z is for ZOO!!

Holden LOVES the zoo! I have been taking him since he was a baby and he asks to go about every day. The OKC Zoo is wonderful. They just opened a "children's zoo" within the facility and it's so fun. Children can pet animals, play in a stream, in other water sprinklers, run on rope bridges, feed birds, etc... They also have so many other wonderful things to do and see.
This week Holden started taking more of an interest in the potty. He has gone #1 several times and #2 once, he always initiates getting on by himself. Sometimes I ask him if he wants to potty and he says no, so we're not pushing it, but we are excited he is taking another step in that direction.
School started in Guthrie this week, so he has been hanging with his cousin Kellen. Kellen is a little lost with his 2 older brothers gone all day. This Tuesday we have meet the teacher for the fall session of Mother's Day Out. Holden has two new teachers, they are really sweet and already know Holden from having adjoining rooms with his class last year. Thursday is his first day back, he will be excited to see his friends! Have a great week!

Summer fun in Florida!!

We had a great time going to visit Holdens' Gigi, Big Al and RoRo in Pensacola, FL. last week! We had tons of fun...Holden LOVED the airport and the airplane ride. He was such a big boy and traveled so well, we were very proud parents and think we might have a pilot on our hands! Holden enjoyed every second at Gigi and Big Al's home. He loved riding his Red Rider trike, playing with Patches, their dog, playing with all the toys and reading books. We also went to an aquarium and saw tons of sea life and a dolphin show. We played in the water at a water park and went to the beach. It was a great trip!!
