Happy Easter!!

Yesterday was Holden's first time dying Easter eggs! I read about a great way for toddlers to dye eggs without making a huge mess...use a wire whisk with the egg inside (see picture above). It worked great and allowed him and Kellen to participate like big boys! We have also been working on a very cute treat for his MDO Easter party on Thursday...I'll post pics of this treat next time. Sunday was a fun day at church, the children celebrated palm Sunday by waving the palms...It was my Sunday to work with the children so I had plenty of palms for Holden to play with after church. All week he has taken a palm leaf everywhere we go, it's so cute!! We played at the park today after MDO and tomorrow we are going to the zoo again. The weather is great here so we are kicking-up the outside activities.

Spring Break Fun!

Holden's cousins were out of school last week for spring break so we joined in on the fun and went to a jump house, the zoo and played at the park several times. Holden loves the zoo and really loves the park. He likes to swing, play on the play set and dig in the sand. He tries so hard to keep up with his cousins and does a great job. They are always right there to help him when he needs it. When we were at the jump house a little boy we didn't know took one of Holden's toys...Kellen looked at the boy and said "that's Holden's!" He then proceeded to grab it back and give it to Holden...so needless to say, Holden is always taken care of by his cousins. =) Holden has started counting and can count to five and can almost make it to ten. He is also starting to recognize letters. Holden has never had a favorite blanket or stuffed animal, but this week he has really taken to one of his teddy bears. It's so sweet to watch him sleep with it...what an amazing little boy, we are blessed to have him!!

Holden's First Dance

On Thursday Holden went to his first dance at Mother's Day Out. It was a fifties theme, so he wore his "T-Bird" shirt, rolled-up jeans and lots of gel in his hair! In the middle picture above he is dancing with Ms. Betty, the director of the MDO program....his first slow dance! =) Holden loves to play with the other children and there is always something fun going on at MDO! I am so thankful he attends such a great program with loving teachers.

Our Little Dirt Digger!

Holden has been enjoying the nice weather we have had this week. He loves to dig in the dirt and gets very dirty! Yesterday we bought some "outside" shoes to keep his "good" shoes from getting covered in dirt and mud. He also loves to ride and push his blue "Caddie" car his aunt Ki-Ki and uncle JJ gave him for Christmas. As you can see in the picture, he is already popping wheelies! The top picture is totally "Holden." He has such a fun personality...he loves to wear hats. This weekend we are going to a birthday party in Tulsa. My friend Crystals' little boy, Clayton, is celebrating his 3rd birthday. It will be great to see them. Have a nice weekend!!
