Christmas 2009

We had a wonderful 2009 Christmas. Our special gift came on Christmas Eve...12 inches of snow!! It was so beautiful and we had fun sledding and playing in the snow on Christmas day. Holden enjoyed every little thing the Christmas season had to offer...Santa, decorating sugar cookies, eating lots of cookies, Christmas lights, trees, mangers, books, music, the list could go on and on! I wish this time of year did not go by so quickly. I made this video montage of our pictures because there were too many to post individually on the blog. Make sure your volume is turned up because there is music to accompany the video. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas season as well! Happy New Year, may 2010 be full of laughter and happiness to us all!!

Christmas Cheer!

We've been busy having Christmas fun this month! Holden went to see Santa on Saturday. He was terrified and cried the entire time he was on his lap! Even with his 3 cousins in the sleigh with him, he wanted no part of Santa...it was so funny!! He loves playing with his Little People nativity and kisses the baby Jesus...it's very sweet. Holden has a plastic snow glob with Santa inside and when you press a button snow flies everywhere....he loves it. You can see how much he loves it in one of the pictures below...he's eating breakfast with it, boy was it sticky after pancakes and syrup! Hope you are having a wonderful Christmas season.

Thanksgiving/Christmas in Florida!

Wow, is it really almost Christmas?! It's such a busy time of year I haven't had time to make a posting on our blog. Below are pictures from our trip to Pensacola to visit the Ingram's for Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful time. Holden especially enjoyed everything! The airplane ride, seeing his grandparents (Big Al & Gigi) and of course he loved spending time with his uncle Royce or Ro-Ro as he says. He also had fun playing with their dog Patches. Since we won't see them on Christmas we decided to celebrate together while we were there visiting. Holden came home with lots of fun toys that he plays with all the time! Since we've been back we have been getting ready for Christmas. Holden loves the Christmas tree and manger scene. It must be a right of passage for a manger scene...within two minutes of having it out one of the sheep lost a leg and an ear thanks to Holdens' wonderful throwing skills! Every time he sees a Santa he says Ho-Ho, it's so funny! He also enjoys seeing all the lights on homes..."lights" he says! It's so much fun experiencing Christmas through a child's eyes.

Holden's Thanksgiving Feast

Holden had a great time at his first Mother's Day Out Thanksgiving Feast! There was a ton of "kiddie" food and a cute performance by some of the other children. What a fun day!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow, this sure is a busy time of year! We are getting ready for a trip to Florida to visit the Ingram's for Thanksgiving. We are very excited!! Holden has a Thanksgiving feast next Tuesday at Mothers Day Out. I'm sure he will love it, he loves to eat!! I've had to watch Holden closely at meal time lately...he is sticking food up his nose!! Not sure how to break this lovely habit, I've heard it just passes on its' own...lets hope that happens soon!! =) The above pic was taken last week on our way to MDO, it was picture day! We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Oh, the things children can learn!

I have been amazed at how much Holden is learning these days...he truly is a little sponge!! So, I have taught him how to dispose of his poopy diapers...watch and see what I mean!

Getting ready for Halloween!!

So I know Halloween is over a week away, but we have started celebrating early!! Holden is going to be the superhero Robin. His best buddy and cousin, Kellen, is going to be Batman. His two older cousins, Hayden and Landen, are also going to be superheros...Flash and Wolverine. We are getting their pictures taken together next Friday. We also have a hayride at my sisters' home this weekend. It's for the children at our church age 5-high school, but since it's at Kelly's we get to join in on the fun!! We hope you are enjoying the fall festivities in your area!!

Holden Happenings

This picture cracks me up...it looks like Holden is advertising children's toothpaste!! His new thing is trying to squeeze himself into the smallest boxes/containers he can fit into...it's quite humorous watching him get in and out!!
Now that he can walk he is all over the place making destruction wherever he goes. I follow him and clean up...sometimes I think it's a lost cause and I should just give in to the mess...but anyone who knows me well, knows that will never happen!! I love to be organized way too much....can you say OCD??!! He, He, He!!! Holden said several new words this week; bye-bye, chicken, baby, he makes the bahhhhh sound for a sheep, banana, church, etc... He has also found his belly-button!! Boy is he fun!!
